Flow State Apparel was created from a deep respect for dialysis nursing—a specialty that isn’t given the credit it deserves.

Dialysis is one of the most overlooked paths in nursing. It’s barely mentioned in school and rarely presented as the incredible career option it actually is. But for those who find it, it becomes something different—a balance of technical skill, critical thinking, work/life balance, and patient care that’s hard to match.

It’s the ritual of connecting the RO, waiting 15 minutes, then testing (aka grabbing a coffee 😆). It’s connecting the HD machine and making sure there’s no air. The simple satisfaction of stringing a machine and entering an HD order. The chaos of troubleshooting alarms and managing patient complications. Cannulating fistulas and working with temperamental central venous catheters. The responsibility of managing a treatment from start to finish.

It’s procedural nursing in a way that’s uniquely its own.
